Loading ...BlogNYC is proud to announce it’s first official political endorsement, Jon Corzine for Governor of New Jersey. Ok, so we don’t live in Jersey and we can’t vote in Jersey, to be honest we don’t even particularly like Jersey, but we love Jon Corzine. We only wish Corzine was running for Governor of New York so we could vote for him. Corzine is exactly the kind of leader we need more of, a liberal with guts.
He has pushed for universal health care and stringent gun laws. He was
one of only 23 senators to vote against the use of force in Iraq,
one of 34 opposed to the ban against what critics call partial-birth
abortion and one of 22 who voted to reject Judge John G. Roberts Jr. as
chief justice of the Supreme Court. He has also clashed with the Bush
administration on tax cuts, trade and Social Security.
If you’d like to contribute to Corzine’s campaign you can go here and give a few dollars to help elect a man who has proven he has the courage to stand up for his convictions. And as we all know in this current political environment, that is a very rare thing to find.
