2005_10_harrietMeet your new Supreme Court Nominee.  Not a lot is known about Miers but one thing seems certain, she’s been a Bush devotee for a while.  It seems we should have learned our lesson about letting this man put unqualified people in positions of power to satisfy his own moribund ego.  From sniffing around here are a few facts I have found.

Miers has never been a judge.  And we thought it was absurd that Roberts was being nominated to the Supreme Court with only two years of judgery under his belt.  Bush has managed to best that precedent and find someone with no experience.  We all saw how someone with no experience ran FEMA.

Miers was Bush’s personal lawyer.  Is no one else offended that Bush seems to be filling the most important positons in the country with people who have done him personal favors?  I’m still waiting for Bush to name some guy that loaned him $5 in 1962 Supreme Commander of Jesus Land.

Miers has experience fellating the President.  No, really.  It’s true.  Go read the Q&A she gave at the White House in Oct. of 2004.  I particularly like the guy that says how swell the President is and what a great job he’s doing with his "No Child Left Behind" act.  Miers thanks him for the excellent question, which wasn’t a question and goes on to explain that yes, Bush is indeed great and so are his policies.  I guess that’s why the states are starting to sue the federal government since they haven’t seen any of the money Bush promised in his "No Child Left Behind" act.  Hey, maybe miers will be able to overturn that decision some day.

She once uttered the words that "the President was the most brilliant man she’d ever met".  Ok seriously.  I may have been able to let the rest of it slide, sure it would have been tough to swallow, but this woman has to be a complete mental case if she did indeed utter those words.  The fact that someone who said those words may be appointed to the Supreme Court is a scary, scary proposition.
