The cost of Bush’s lies.

January 2, 2003 - The administration’s top budget official estimated today that the cost of a war with Iraq could be in the range of $50 billion to $60 billion, a figure that is well below earlier estimates from White House officials.

…that earlier estimates of $100 billion to $200 billion in Iraq war
costs by Lawrence B. Lindsey, Mr. Bush’s former chief economic adviser,
were too high.

Robert Lindsey was fired for estimating the cost of the war at $100 to $200 billion.  You see, Bush was still trying to sell the war to American people, he couldn’t have them hearing the truth about what it was going to cost.

The current cost of the war is nearly $200 billion.  Now Bush is getting $50 billion more.
