It’s been eight straight days of rain coming down. Eight straight days since we’ve seen the sun. Meteorologists are promising that tomorrow the clouds will part, the sky will clear, the birds will sing and we can all take breaks from building our arks.
I have a feeling this is one forecast weathermen don’t want to be wrong about. If they start promising sun tomorrow and we get more rain, things could get ugly around here.
The eight days of inclement weather has taken it’s toll on umbrellas around the city. $3 umbrellas left crippled, clogging street gutters, sewer gates and generally littering the streets. There’s only so much rain a cheap umbrella can take before it just gives up.
