rome_posterartwoman01_252x1.jpg We just heard great news.  One of our new favorite shows, "Rome" on HBO has already been renewed for a second season.

It’s 7 episodes into its 12 episode first season and we have a feeling the best is yet to come.  Last week on the show Caesar finally defeated Pompey for good, ending last weeks episode with his beheading on the shores of Egypt.

Now begins the true reign of Julius Caesar, who is currently in Egypt, making acquaintance with, ahem, Cleopatra.   Not to mention the lesbian seduction last week between Servilia and Octavia.

We hear that next week, Octavia, whose flower has apparently blossomed, embarks on a new seduction that is wild even by HBO standards.  Forget OnDemand, we might actually be tuning in on Sunday night to find what all that buzz is about.

If you haven’t been watching the show you can catch up with all of them on HBO on demand.  The show show normally airs Sunday nights at 9, sorry to all you "Desperate Housewife" fans.

It’s definitely worth checking out, plus it’s like you’re getting smarter too.  You’re making up for all those times you didn’t pay attention in history class.  If they put HBO in charge of education in this country we would have the smartest Roman mortician mafioso’s in the world.

Maybe HBO can teach grammar, too, so that we all learn that adding an apostrophe ’s’ does not a plural make.

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to point out my apostrophe mistakes. I believe they are fixed, in case you were waiting breathlessly to resume your day.
