I was in Chelsea last night checking out a friend’s play that went up at the Sanford Meisner theatre.  Last night was the last show so I’m actually going to skip the details about the show, other than to say it was a great show, definitely worth a see and is a shoe-in for the Tony award for "Best Non-Dramatic Use of an Enormous, Black Dildo".  If they produce it again, I’ll give you a heads up on where you can catch it.  After the show we went out for a couple of drinks and while I was walking down 22nd St. I came across these two oddly lit buildings.

This was the entrance to some building that was gated up.  I was kind of drunk so I couldn’t really make out what the door said, or I didn’t even try to make it out, I can’t remember.  I wish I knew what it was an entrance to.  It looks like the soundstage of some sci-fi TV show.

This building just had some strange blue neon glow coming out of the stairwell, with the top two windows emanating green.  It was very cool looking. As far as I could tell it was just an empty stairwell going up in between buildings.

So if you’re ever in the Chelsea area late at night, walk around between 10th and 11th aves, there are quite a few buildings over there that have interesting lighting effects.
