Redcly087A lot has changed in New York City since 1909.  Except the greedy fucking, rat bastard landlords, they’re still as greedy as ever.  A group of landlords are suing the city for the right to raise rents even more than the initial raise they got in June.

NYC is already the most expensive city to live in America, and the landlords are crying poverty.  It’s the twelfth most expensive city in the world for cost of living and the landlords want more.

"Many of the owners are very concerned about how they are going to pay
their fuel bills," said Joseph Strasburg, association president.

Oh, I don’t know, probably the same way every other landlord in the country is while still collecting half the amount of rent you greedy fucks get for living on this island.

If it were up to NYC landlords they would turn Manhattan, followed shortly by the rest of the boroughs, into a who’s who of the richest people on the planet paying whatever price the landlord decides to put on a 400 square foot apartment.

In its lawsuit, the association charged the board’s decision included
"the usual barrage of statistical information, but did not explain how
or why the board arrived at its ultimate determination."

Huh?  Are the landlords basically saying…they gave us all the facts and figures as to why they came to their decision, they just didn’t explain it to us?  These people must have been born into money.
