It’s sort of only a scoop if you were slightly retarded and thought that people probably still played by the rules.  Pataki’s office announced today it’s choice for the firm to handle security at the WTC site. 
Science Applications International Corp. of Reston, Va. was chosen for the job.  The amount of the contract is still being negotiated.

SAIC is an employee owned company, but there’s a coincidence.  There’s always a coincidence.  The CEO of SAIC, Ken Dahlberg, is on record for making one political contribution.  We’ll give you one guess as to who the donation was to, and when it was.

$1,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee on April 28, 2005.

Let this be a lesson to all of you jobless slackers out there.  All you have to do is make a fat donation to the republicans and you’ll be working in no time. 

Yeah, yeah, I know there are people that will say this is total BS, and taken by itself, they’d be right.  But the absolute audacity and consistency of the "you scratch my back I’ll scratch yours" political favoritism is growing tiresome.  Perhaps SAIC is the best company for the job.  But with everything we’ve seen from this administration this state, and the way they handle security can we honestly feel safe that this decision was based on anything but a $1,000 donation?
