Models prepare for a parade in front of street children in the
drug-infested ‘Barrio Triste’ (Sad Neighborhood) in downtown Medellin
in Colombia November 7, 2005. The event was organised to entertain the
children by a member of a local charity that helps children in Barrio
Triste by providing food, clothes and cleaning facilities.

While, I’m sure there are people out there who would complain that children who need food and clothes, and places to clean themselves, don’t really need half-naked models parading around for them, we think those people are selfish assholes. Come on people, don’t be so square. Half-naked models parading in front of homeless children is long overdue in our society, and we, for one, applaud Columbia’s efforts to take care of their poor, forgotten, homeless children.
Perhaps if we had more half-naked models parading around in Darfur, we could avoid the genocide and starvation taking place there, but no, we have to have all the models for ourselves. Greedy bastards.
We ask you, who better to parade in front of homeless children? Would it be right to parade a bunch of fatties in front of them, gloating and showing off their massive intake of food? It’s God’s work to parade this group of waif-like, underfed models in front of these children, showing them that even at 87 pounds, they too can be beautiful someday.
Meanwhile, we here at BlogNYC will be taking the next few weeks off to plan for our vacation in Colombia. If anyone has any x-large children’s clothes they’d like to get rid of, feel free to drop us an e-mail.
