So as some of you may know I have been a bit of an absentee father around here for the past week or so.  So much stuff on my plate, such a little plate to eat said stuff…?  I don’t know, maybe I’m delirious.

Well I was indeed offered the job I mentioned earlier being a professional full-time blogger, they loved my stuff, wanted me on board and then seriously low-balled me on their offer.  I’m not really going to discuss specifics, but let’s just say it was less than half of my low end range that I originally sent them and was told, "you’re definitely in the right range".  Had I known the offer was going to be what it was, I would have made it known immediately that I couldn’t devote that much time to something for such a small return.  I made a counter-offer, but to no avail. 

I feel a little miffed right now.  The "auditioning" process was fairly intense and now I feel it was all for naught.  But what’s passed is past.

So here’s what I was thinking.  I have a pretty big web design/consulting gig I’m working on right now but that can all be done at night.  So I had a bright idea.  I’m going to take a month, and (try) to work this place full time.  That is, make sure there are posts up each morning by 9AM so you’ll have something fresh to check when you get to work, and make sure there are regular posts throughout the day. 

I’ve been pussyfooting around at this long enough.  Posting sporadically just isn’t going to put anything I do to the next level.  I don’t think it’s too much to take at least a month to see what happens.  See if there’s any significant increase in traffic.  See if word spreads of my great deeds and people write songs of my wit and intellect. 

Who knows, we’ll see how it goes.
