A woman jumped in front of the F train at the East Broadway station in Chinatown during the morning rush. There aren’t any specific details about why or exactly what happened, but it appears she did jump. An MTA spokesman said that she was still alive after the incident.
The F is being re-routed to the A line for now.
This is just sad. If your life sucks bad enough to throw yourself in front of the F train, it’s got to suck worse knowing you can’t even kill yourself effectively.
