Felicity Huffman, one of the stars of ‘Desperate Housewives’ must have had a bittersweet reaction when she got the call from her agent that she was perfect for the leading role in ‘Transamerica‘.
"Hey, Felicity, listen we got this gig for you, and we think you’re the perfect woman to play a convincing post-operative transsexual man."
Yay, I got a part. Boo, I can play a passable man.
During the filming of ‘Transamerica’, Felicity became so attached to her prosthetic penis that she gave it a nickname, Andy - "after a costume assistant’s idiot ex-boyfriend".
Apparently she became quite "attached" to the her new found penis.
"I pretty much wore it the whole time except for a couple of times in Arizona when we were in the station wagon with no air-conditioning and it was too hot."
Yeah, we know. Try not being able to take it off. While Felicity did admit to wearing her fake penis pretty much the entire time she was filming, she never really makes it clear whether or not she wore it inside-out.
