No, it’s not the new welcome slogan for South Beach, it’s the new slogan for Coca-Cola. In an attempt to shake up its marketing Coke is going with, "welcome to the Coke side of life," as the selling point for it’s flagship soda.
I’m not one for boycotts, but I’m not sure this is the message we need to be sending out children. Sure we’ve all been there. It’s sort of late, you have to go out and meet some friends and you think, let me just have a Coke, maybe it’ll wake me up a little. Yeah, it starts with just one, but soon enough, you need another one. Then another one. The next thing you know, you’re taking your change to 7-11 to buy more Coke from some stranger, it’s 6:00 AM and you’re sharing your coke with some guy you just met and talking about how fucked up our society is in the bathroom.
The Coke side of life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Stick with Ice Tea or something.
