At this year’s Thanksgiving day parade the M&M balloon blew off course and into a light pole injuring two people, don’t worry though, Katie Couric and Matt Lauer are OK. Well, sort of, I mean they’re still a little upset and embarrassed they weren’t told about it, but hopefully we can stroke their egos back to that nice healthy sheen we know and love.
NBC’s Thanksgiving Day parade blunder during
which "Today" co-anchors Katie Couric and Matt Lauer, who were hosting
the network’s coverage of the event, weren’t told of a mishap that
injured spectators was "embarrassing" and "awkward," according to
Couric."I think it would have been helpful to us to be more informed," Couric
said yesterday during a conference call with reporters to talk about
"Today’s" 10-year win streak in the morning ratings.
We’re sure it was a difficult time for the both of you. Of course the people who were actually crushed, they had it made, they were right there in the know. The old saying is right, "the hard part is not knowing". Those people who were crushed were lucky to not have to have lived through the "embarrassment" of not knowing.
