Bloomberg holding a live press conference right now. He keep reiterating that this strike is illegal and how much it is costing the city.
Bloomie just said, "New Yorkers always support the selfless, but don’t have any sympathy for the selfish."
The rest of the speach is about keeping our heads high and overcoming obstacles.
He’s saying that because the strike is illegal that the MTA shouldn’t even negotiate with them until they go back to work.
Illegal or not, if people are taking the stance that no negotiations will take place until people go back to work, we could be in for a long ass strike. Once you get your workforce fired up enough to strike, getting them to go back to work with absolutely no progress is going to be pretty difficult.
"No one else has intentionally tried to hurt the people of New York under my watch," Bloomie speaking about the TWU.

Want a neat little picture by your comments? Get one here.yeah, i don’t think anyone is gonna be too big on heading back to work without a new contract already worked out, then again, the workers will do whatever the union tells them to, so who knows?
