A tale of two stories. The media makes up the news as they go along. We’re not even a reputable news source and we have at least as much credibility as any so-called mainstream media.
The NYT reports, it’s just another hiccup, we’re New Yorkers we can handle it.
That’s the fucking point. It doesn’t matter which is true, because media today isn’t worried about getting to the heart of the matter, they’re worried about creating fucking headlines that make people happy or scared or content, it’s like comfort food for the mind. If you could gain weight from buying into media bullshit, we’d have a lot of people who gorged themselves to death in this country.
So depending on what paper you read, it’s either, another small speed bump that we’re handling gracefully, or it’s complete chaos.
