Well, it’s day two of "holy shit I can’t believe I have to walk to fucking work" strike day. Seems like there’s still no progress or even attempts at progress between the MTA and the TWU.
New Yorkers, who always get credit for their endurance and adaptability in times of crisis, seem to be taking it in stride. From what we’ve seen it’s about an even split of people who blame the MTA and people who blame the TWU.
Bloomberg keeps harping on the fact that no one is above the law and that the TWU should go back to work, umm yeah, that’s all well and good, but unfortunately the average worker doesn’t feel that way. So instead of repeating the same nonense over and over, wouldn’t it be better to try and get the two sides back to the table, illegal strike or no illegal strike?
The rags have chosen sides and it’s definitely not on the side of the TWU.
But we want to hear it straight from the horses mouth. How are you faring? How’s your trip to work? How are you getting there and how pissed are you and are you pissed at the TWU or the MTA? Let’s hear it New York.

Want a neat little picture by your comments? Get one here.Hey, I support the working man but this is getting ridiculous. My crippled, unhealthy doorman had to walk to work in freezing temperature almost 40 blocks…the guy can barely walk across our freakin’ lobby. Good job MTA! If he drops, it’s on you.

I’ve walked to work the past 2 days…88th & Lex to 34th & Park. It’s taken me an hour and have surprisingly not minded the walk.
That said, I hope the city breaks the union…If they don’t like their pay or the benefits they can go find another job….like everyone else. Truth is..it’s a good Gig, with good pay, and 100’s would line up for a chance at their job.
