TWU executive board votes 36-5 to send transit workers back to work immediately. The word is it will take 18-24 hours to get the trains and busses back up and running. No word yet on when that can happen but they’re saying hopefully limited service by tomorrow morning’s rush.
Basically the reports are saying that Toussaint didn’t even give the board specific info, he just asked them to have confidence in him and vote to return to work.
WNBC is showing one of the 5 people that voted against going back and he’s fucking pissed. The people who voted against are saying they’re in the exact same place as when they went on strike and they have no assurances that they’ll recieve amnesty from any financial or legal penalties.

Want a neat little picture by your comments? Get one here.not suprising that they have gone back considering the threats, intimidation and overt hatred that the city has vomited out towards these strikers. May the employers rot in hell with their fat cat pensions, it is a me me me society…these monsters set the agenda, all respect to Roger and his just and correct argument.

I agree totally. And they’re going back with basically no new progress, or none that Toussaint is even telling the executive board. So what the fuck was the point?
