Besides making your life a living hell for three days and forcing you to ride your bike or walk to work in freezing cold weather, what else did the transit strike accomplish? Here’s a look at the footprint the 2005 transit strike will leave on history. [Gotham Gazette]- The daughters of a woman who died after catching on fire after puncturing open a can of Aquanet with a can opener, even though the label says "do not puncture" are suing the makers of Aquanet for $110 million claiming the "do not puncture" label is "insufficient warning" not to puncture. In other news, people still use Aquanet. [Daily News]
- The Chronicles of Narnia rap video with Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell from SNL launched Samberg, a SNL newb, into the spotlight. The video, which immediately went bootleg all over the internet, was downloaded more than a million times in less than a week. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch it here. [Daily News]
- Two NJ cops who were setting up flares to warn people that a draw bridge’s warning system wasn’t working, ironically, plunged off the same bridge they were trying to warn people about. [Daily News]
