A few months back the New York Times started to offer what it calls “Times Select”, which is basically a fancy way of telling us that we can’t access its archives or certain columnists articles online without forking over some cash.
While everyone else is busy freeing up their archives and creating a free web, the Times is busy trying to lure suckers into paying for an online subscription. What are they doing to lure readers? Whoring out MoDo apparently.
Her new byline headshot is decidedly sluttier, with that mussed hair, raised eyebrow, come fuck me look. Now you don’t just get ‘Times Select’, you get the new and improved ‘classic’ Maureen Dowd. We imagine the Times is only months away from offering MoDo nipple slips and bikini shots to lure in “lucky” Times Select readers.
