Arresteddevelopmentseason2th250Fox is giving people one last chance to finally see the last four episodes of Arrested Development, sort of.  Fox announced that it will be airing the final four episodes of Arrested on Friday, Feb. 10th.  They’re billing it as a "season finale", not a series finale.

So that’s the good news.  Fans are going to get to see the final four episodes.  The bad news?  Guess what Friday, Feb. 10th is?  Want to know what Fox is putting the show up against?  The opening fucking ceremonies of the 2006 Winter Olympics.  So getting more than the 12 people that usually watch it to check it out for the first time may be a little difficult.

The episodes which will air from 8-10 p.m. will more than likely be the last episodes to air on Fox, although both ABC and Showtime have expressed interest in picking it up.

Justine Bateman will play a woman who Michael believes may be his
long-lost sister Nellie, while Reinhold plays himself, hired by the
family’s new lawyer to act as a judge in a mock trial to help the
Bluths prepare for a real court case.

The episodes will also feature
Gob (Will Arnett) traveling to Iraq to perform a Christian magic act,
which lands him in prison; Buster (Tony Hale) faking a coma to avoid
testifying in the family’s court case; and George Michael (Michael
Cera) and Maeby (Alia Shawkat) taking part in a mock wedding to
entertain hospital patients. The whole thing ends up at a yacht party,
which is where the series started.

I really don’t understand why more people don’t watch this fucking show.  It’s one of the best written, and best acted ensemble sitcoms ever.

I’d really like to see ABC pick it up and give it a good time slot, keep it there, and give it a nice big push.  Seriously, if you’re not watching this show then you’re just a big chicken *insert GOB’s chicken impersonation here*.

Why do people watch the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics? Sounds about as fun as watching the Rose
    Bowl parade.

I agree with Rod. The type of people who would watch AD, aren’t the types to be swooned by the Opening Ceremonies.

That being said, it’s still a fucking swipe by Fox. I’m definitely going to miss that show.
