We found this map over at Gothamist and found it pretty fascinating to see it layed out like that. I guess there’s a guy who has all sorts of these maps that called William Bowen’s Digital Atlas of NYC. You can find the different maps here, they’re all pretty amazing, or maybe I’m just a dork.
We were just playing around with it and decided to use the map above and do an overlay of it using Google Earth, you can check that out here. It’s pretty interesting to see all the locations and be able to zoom in and see the actual neighborhoods.

I’m sure there are a lot cooler things you can do with this data and Google Earth, but this is what we come up with. Let us know if you come up with anything cooler.
