A ring of heartless drug smugglers have been discovered using cute puppies to help them smuggle drugs into New York City. A veterinarian in Columbia would stitch bags of liquid heroin into the bellies of the puppies and ship them off to the United States.
Ten puppies, including Labrador Retrievers, were rescued from a Colombian farm in 2005 although details weren’t released at the time because the investigation was ongoing.
"I think it’s outrageous and heinous that they’d use small, innocent
puppies in this way," Gilbride said. "It just demonstrates what lengths
drugs dealers will go to to get drugs into the country."
Umm, hasn’t anyone seen Maria Full of Grace? No offense to the puppies but I think it’s a bit of a stretch to try and make drug dealers seem more "heinous" for using puppies than, victimized humans.
