We’d really like to make one of these up for bars that deserve it. Bars that have reasonably priced drinks and a good bar atmosphere where you don’t feel like you’re at some sleezefest paying $9 for a Heineken.
We’ll even start you off, one of the best bars in Manhattan is Jimmy’s Corner at
140 W. 44th St between 6th and Broadway. Great drinks, great prices, probably the best jukebox in Manhattan. Let us know what your favorite places are to go, kick back and have a few affordable drinks in Manhattan.

Want a neat little picture by your comments? Get one here.Kush is a great bar/lounge and has an excellent happy hour which discounts all drinks and food by 50% 6-8pm. It’s easy to slag off a lounge for high priced drinks but the open much shorter hours and therefore have to make money when they can. Many lounges only open 4 nights per week.

Kush lounge happens to be one of new york’s great interior spaces. Between 4 people a hookah isn’t exhorbitant. The house cocktails are superb and go well with the Music via world class DJs. Happy hour is 5-8pm
tues -fri and ALL DRINKS are half off….why not mention that? the other bars don’t have that feature

Every Monday night, Bar 13 (35 e. 13th St.) has 2-for-1 drinks all night… it’s their poetry slam night, which is actually really good for only a $5 cover. good way to impress a date.

Stay away from Kush. A friend of mine was assaulted there. It draws a very questionable crowd.

I agree with Joe about Kush. The crowd is beyond sketchy, and I knew a guy that was friends with a bartender there. He said that an employee got stuck with a hyperdermic needle infected with hepatitis emptying the garbage. Kush is awful!!!

I think Paul and AP need to shut the hell up. Just b/c you want to stand up for a crappy bar you go to doesn’t mean you have to act to faggy about it. Jeez!
