Ahh, Oscar night. That wonderful time of year where millions of people gather together to drink on Sunday night, watch Hollywood revel in its opulence and also reminds us all what movies we’ve forgotten to download the DVD screeners of. I’ll refrain from a long, drawn out post about last night’s awards show since I’m sure by now everyone and their mother have already said just about everything there is to say.
I will say that I was very happy to see George Clooney and Philip Seymour Hoffman take home Academy Awards. Philip Seymour Hoffman is one of, if not the best character actors of all time and it was great to see him get his dues for his tremendous role in ‘Capote’.
Oh, and I personally thought that Jon Stewart did a hell of a job hosting the show, which in fact, was one of the only reasons why I watched the whole damn thing.
