While Katie Couric prepares to jump ship and scurry over to CBS, NBC has apparently scrapped its plan replace Couric with an anamatronic version of the chipper host of the Today Show, fearing an anamatronic Couric would not only be costly, but may well have more personality than the original Couric raising all sorts of ethical dilemmas.
No, instead NBC has decided to go with the next best thing to an anamatronic replacement, Meredith Vieria of the The View. Now, instead of keeping your nauseating TV personalities jammed into daytime slots, your day will actually be bracketed by them. You can lose your appetite in the morning while watching Vieria stroking off Matt Lauer and you can have your dinner ruined by the blank stare and Stepford wife smile of Couric force feeding you the evening news.
