Apparently trying to perpetuate the myth that models are complete idiots, Tatyana Simanava walked off of a moving bus yesterday while it was driving down the Gowanus Expressway in Brooklyn.
We’ll just give you a minute to let that sink in. A model. Was on a moving bus. Then she opened the door and walked off of it.
The Russian model became disoriented after leaving the bus’ bathroom Tuesday, opening an exit door and tumbling outside onto Brooklyn’s Gowanus Expressway, cops said.
Luckily a friend of Tatyana’s, who refused to give her name, was there to sum up the severity of the situation, “Messing up your face can put your career in jeopardy.” That’s deep.
Linda Safir, founder of Hoboken-based bus company On Time Elite said, “I have no idea what happened. You’ve been on a bus? The exit doors are clearly exit doors.”
Yes Linda, for us they’re clearly exit doors. But for a model, it’s just a hole they open and blindly walk into.

Tatyana and I were friends back in Belarus but when i left to America we lost touch and 4 years later i found out from tv news about the accident. I didn’t even know she became so succesful. It’s very mean to make jokes like that about the person who almost got killed. And the color of hair has nothing to do here. When u come from a different country sometimes things get confusing. She just had bad luck that day.
