The most popular hip-hop morning show in NYC, Star & Buc Wild on Power 105 has been 86′d from 105’s lineup after DJ Star, a.k.a. Troi Torain, lost his mind on air yesterday morning and started threatening a rival DJ’s daughter.
Torain offered listeners $500 to tell him where the daughter of nemesis DJ Envy, of Hot 97, went to school.
“Yes, I disrespect your seed,” Torain ranted. “If you didn’t hear me, I said I would like to do an R. Kelly on your seed. On your little baby girl.”
Torain, 42, described in graphic detail what he meant by the reference to the R&B singer Kelly, who allegedly committed an unnatural act on an underage girl, a stunt captured on a widely circulated video.
Torain, who warned in his diatribe that he carries a gun, also called the wife of DJ Envy, whose real name is Rashawn Casey, a “whore,” a “lo mein eater” and far worse anti-Asian slurs.
It didn’t take long for the station to take action after DJ Star’s shocking remarks, by mid-afternoon the station had suspended him indefinitely and hours later they held a press conference to announce that he no longer worked for the station. “Power 105 finds recent remarks broadcast by Troi Torain of the Star & Buc Wild Morning Show to be wholly unacceptable,” said Rob Williams, marketing manager for Clear Channel. “As of late this afternoon, he is no longer with Power 105.1 or Clear Channel Radio. We sincerely apologize to those who may have been offended by his remarks.”
As of this morning the Power 105 (WWPR-FM) website, which happens to be a Clearchannel station has completely removed the Star and Buc Wild Show from it’s website and this morning’s lineup was a complete music rotation in place of the normal morning drive talk format that listeners are used to hearing.

Please bring Star and Buc Wild back- There is more to the show than just that one comment- no one is talking about when they discussed serious topics in a compelling fashion. There is enough buffonery on the radio. Bring back Star and Buc Wild
