dennis-farina.jpg No one will ever be able to fill Jerry Orbach’s shoes as the quintessential detective on Law & Order, but Farina did a pretty good job of taking on the task.

After only two seasons though, Farina has announced that he won’t be returning for a third.

His publicist cited the actor’s desire to pursue other projects that his production company is developing as the reason for his departure.

Still, Farina may want to consult with David Caruso before he makes the decision to leave a hit TV show to pursue “other projects”.

We just might be seeing Farina starring in CSI: Boca Raton in 10 years or so.

HUGE difference between Farina and Caruso. Dennis Farina had/has an established career in film and will have no trouble whatsoever going somewhere else.

or maybe you’re just prejudiced against seeing a CSI: Boca Raton on the air? Did you ever think of that?

I’m sorry, that didn’t even make sense what I said.

    Good point.
