This entire season I have been defending The Sopranos, arguing that in fact, while there may have been slightly less action, it was bringing up deeper issues and it was all leading to a pivotal season finale to setup the last eight episodes that are set to air next year starting in January.I feel like I’ve been duped. After waiting nearly 2 1/2 years for this season of The Sopranos, after loyally defending the show and watching the first five seasons again to catch up, what’s the only thing I took away from this new season? Absolutely nothing. This entire fucking season that we all waited for 2 1/2 years for could have been compacted into one episode. One slightly boring episode at that.

I guess we all got our answer. After more than two years off was it worth the wait? I guess if you’re a huge fan of non-existent storylines and anticlimactic finales, then it was great. There was more tension in Mad Hot Ballroom than there was in the final episode of The Sopranos.

Now, I really don’t care about another fucking wait for another fucking 8 episodes. I’ll just pretend the show ended after the fifth season and just never came back. At least I’ll have fond memories of when the show was actually worth watching.
