Stephen Holden, the movie critic for the NYT, has been notoriously critical of Hilary Duff and her movies, almost going out of his way to point out how bad she is.
We always just assumed it was because she and her movies suck, but apparently it’s because Holden just wants to see Duff pregnant and shooting up.
She tells Elle magazine, “He doesn’t really fit the demographic. So I could really care less. Look at me, and look at where he is - sorry! Would he prefer that I take some super-adult role that is inappropriate so I would have no place to grow? “Suppose the next thing I did was this super-edgy independent movie where I was pregnant or shooting up. What would that do to my fanbase?”
Wait, wait, wait. Hilary Duff has a fanbase? And who wants to do some “super-adult, super-edgy” role anyway? That’s like totally so not hot, like duh.
