UPDATE: NYC Fire Commissioner is on the phone with CNN, says he believes the explosion was a gas explosion of some sort.
CNN is reporting this right now, nothing else as of yet. Park and Madison Ave are both closed to traffic.
A building on 62nd Street between Park and Madison avenues in New York collapsed and was on fire after an explosion this morning, fire officials and witnesses told CNN.
