It started last night as the entire internet crept to a crawl, then just pooped out. While it’s better today there is still a noticable lag in Time Warner’s Road Runner and Earthlink broadband service.
If you call the Time Warner line you get a recorded message at the beginning telling you that “customers in all areas may experience slow browsing and problems connecting to the internet”. Rest assured their “engineers are aware of the problems and working diligently to resolve the issue,” whatever the issue is.
Ironically after informing you that their broadband service is sucking air they politely point out that due to high call volume you may experience longer than expected hold times. They urge you to check out their website for more information. Below is the screencap of their website.
