Tiger Beat’s closeted gay cousin, Teen People is officially getting axed from circulation while its online counterpart, TeenPeople.com, will rise from its ashes like a phoenix and continue to extoll the virtues of its own mediocrity.
Lori Majewski, the editor of Teen People, was given the axe along with about 50 other staffers. Zena Burns the editor of the TeenPeople.com is slated to stay on however. Sept. ‘06 will be the last issue of Teen People.
While this must have come as a shock to staffers I think we really need to focus on who this effects more. Me. I just got to the point where I could comprehend about 65% of Teen People, there’s no way I’m ready to graduate to regular People yet. Now what am I supposed to do? I already cancelled my subscription to Cosmo girl!
