The New York City Medical Examiner has said that at least 20 deaths last week were the result of the vicious heat wave that kept the city in a strangle hold most of last week.
In stark contrast to their normal behavior the Senate took swift action and quickly voted 71-25 to back legislation that would open an 8.3-million-acre patch in the Gulf to oil exploration. Thus ensuring that you will always be able to douse yourself in gasoline and light yourself on fire to cool off a little bit.
