Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer is sick of using the stairs.

Stringer said he found that two-thirds of Manhattan’s subway elevators went uninspected from 2002 to 2005 and that the same was true of 58 percent of the borough’s subway escalators. He also noted that elevators that go out of service take, on average, 10 days to be repaired.

Mental note: don’t ride in the subway elevators.
