Sure the smell of a rotting corpse may be NYC’s 6th most recognizable smell, but for the first time in 67 years it’s a flower responsible for that stench.
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is preparing for the blooming of the corpse flower. Named for the smell it gives off, described as the “revolting smell of putrefying meat.”
So, in case you were thinking you couldn’t get through the weekend without smelling at least one rotting corpse, you’re in luck. And the best part is, no one has to die, no matter what the voices are telling you.
