It’s mid-August and that means things are starting to heat up for the Yankees once again. The Yanks start a 5 game series with the Red Sox today at 1:00pm. It’s the first game of a day/night doubleheader.
The Yankees go into the series leading the Sox by 1.5 games. Once again, possibly the biggest rivalry in sports, comes down to five games in Boston. The Yanks are coming off of a big loss yesterday afternoon against the Orioles while the Bean Counters had Thursday off.
This could also be the series where A-Rod cements himself one way or another in Yankees lore. Forget all of the errors and all the other bullshit, A-Rod has still been clutch at times. Well now is the time. This will be his chance to prove himself or drop the ball.
