The 20-by-100 foot lot on the Upper East Side that used to be the site of a townhouse before a deranged doc blew it and himself up is on the block for a cool $8 million.
The 125-year-old mansion was worth $4 million before Dr. Doom turned into Dr. Boom.
The lot is being listed by the real estate firm Brown Harris Stevens has been garnering “a lot, a lot, a lot of interest,” according to Florrie Milan a broker at BHS.
The listing for the vacant lot reads: “Seize this opportunity to build your dream house!” It touts the location as “a quiet, lovely tree lined street in New York City’s Upper East side Historic District.”
Just in case you’re wondering that’s $4,000 per sqare foot. We were thinking about buying it for the new BlogNYC headquarters but we really had our hearts set on a 20-by-101 foot lot.
