Jon Voight has been very public and very vocal about wanting to repair his relationship with his daughter, Angelina Jolie, and begin one with his grandchildren. The problem is, Voight doesn’t seem to know the difference between his granddaughter and a sexy, latin singer.
Caught on tape at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Tea Party on Saturday, where he was doing interviews on the red carpet Voight was caught on tape saying, “Maddox just had a birthday. Happy birthday, Maddox! Five years old - it’s a big one! You’re going to be a young man, and I send my love out to you. And send my love to…uh…Shakira…and Shahira…” The befuddled grandfather then asked the reporter, ‘Is it Shakira or Shahira?’
Baby hips don’t lie. Jon, here’s a little friendly advice. You might want to take a few minutes and memorize your granddaughter’s name if you’re actually serious about wanting to see her. It’s Sahara for the record. Not Shakira.
