While Bloomberg does all he can to cast doubt and distance himself from the fact that 7 out of 10 Ground Zero responders are now suffering from serious breathing problems, Pataki, it would seem is gearing up for a White House run in ‘08.
“It just makes common sense that when you know how thick and horrible the fumes and the dust and the ash were in lower Manhattan that people who worked there hundreds of hours are going to have respiratory problems,” Pataki said.
“It’s fairly evident that the vast majority of those people would not have had respiratory or other problems but for their service at Ground Zero,” Pataki added.
