After being burned by the James Frey big fake memoir scandal, Oprah has decided to only push memoirs by people who have their life stories played out on national TV for some validation.
Former New Jersey Gov. James E. McGreevey is to tell the story of his rise to power as a closeted gay man and his shocking fall from grace as the nation’s first openly gay governor in a taping of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Tuesday.
The interview will air Sept. 19, the same day McGreevey’s political memoir, “The Confession,” goes on sale.
McGreevey is supposedly going to talk about the shame and self-loathing he feels knowing that he was a politician. Since resigning as Governor of New Jersey, McGreevey has gone through rigorous counseling to try and come to terms with his past life.

Want a neat little picture by your comments? Get one here.it’d be pretty funny if he wasn’t gay, and just wanted out of his marriage and politics, so he could reap the rewards of a sure national bestseller. I know. I’m evil.
