The Fung Wah bus offers $15 one-way trips between NYC and Boston. Fung Wah is just one of several companies that use Chinatown buses to cheaply transport people to and from NYC, Boston, DC, Philadelphia etc. The buses have been under scrutiny since one of the Fung Wah buses rolled over last week on Interstate 290 ramp in Auburn injuring 34 passengers.
State and Federal regulators met with the owner of Fung Wah bus lines and he has agreed to allow his buses to be inspected every 90 days and to immediately stop using drivers who are not able to read and speak English.
We think half the fun of paying $15 to get to Boston is just hoping you get there in one piece.
