We’ve said a lot of mean things about a lot of people but we’ve never made anyone commit suicide. At least not that we know of.
Two weeks after telling police that her son had been snatched from his crib, Melinda Duckett found herself reeling in an interview with TV’s famously prosecutorial Nancy Grace. Before it was over, Grace was pounding her desk and loudly demanding to know: “Where were you? Why aren’t you telling us where you were that day?”
A day after the taping, Duckett, 21, shot herself to death, deepening the mystery of what happened to the boy.
Meow!
Of course the woman’s family says she “wouldn’t hurt a bug” and the police won’t say whether or not she left a suicide note explaining anything either. We’re not sure what this woman’s involvement was or wasn’t with her sons disappearance but with that kind of grilling on national TV of a woman who’s infant son has been missing only two weeks, Grace better have some pretty solid facts behind her.
