In a study that was done in “neighborhoods with high STD rates” (read: poor, minority neighborhoods) health officials found some fairly shocking numbers. Almost 1 in 10 high school girls have either chlamydia or gonorrhea.
Nine percent of girls and two percent of boys who participated in a Health Department study at five New York City high schools have either chlamydia or gonorrhea.
This is exactly why we need more people at our schools teaching religion and handing out Jesus (read: teaching sex education and passing out condoms).
