As a lovers/supporters of the arts, Metadish occasionally likes to dole out advice to aspiring young actors moving to the city to make it big. Often times our advice involves drunken bitterness and threats to “get the fuck over yourself”. But with the trial of the murder of Nicole duFresne starting we were reminded of old rule number one.
Rule number one, when you come to NYC and get mugged at gunpoint, don’t antagonize the man with the gun.
“You’ve got what you wanted,” she told the one with the silver revolver, parolee Rudy Fleming. “What are you going to do now? Shoot us?”
And with that, Fleming, 19, fired a single shot into her chest, both prosecutors and defense lawyers agree.
One thing you don’t want to be remembered for as a 28-year-old actress are clichéd famous last words.
On a seperate note we wanted to address the Post’s sensationalized headline of this story. “Killer Left Her for Dead”. That’s sort of what killer’s do isn’t it? It’s pretty much what defines someone as a killer in the first place.
