For a majority of residents, McGreevey “is a chapter in the state’s history most residents choose to forget,” Patrick Murray, director of Monmouth University’s polling institute, told Bloomberg News. The Democrat was viewed favorably by just 31%, and 53% had an unfavorable opinion.
For some reason we still like to imagine that, despite the poll numbers, every household in New Jersey still has a copy of McGreevey’s book The Confession on their coffee table and that they all gather ’round the fireplace before bed and read it to each other.
