Last month we told you about the rumors that were floating around about the new season of Survivor: Cook Islands dividing the teams up into groups defined by race.
It seems that it was all just some sort of marketing scheme to generate buzz. While the show did start out with the two teams divided by race, after only two episodes they ended the experiment and divided everyone into two teams with race playing no part of the divide.
All of this happened without any explanation from the show as to why it was abandoning its original plan of pitting race against race.
“We’re back to America. We’re a melting pot,” said Parvati, a boxer on the new Raro tribe. “I love it.” Stay tuned next season when CBS kicks off the season by announcing Richard Nouveau as the upcoming season’s host.

Want a neat little picture by your comments? Get one here.Actually, they were originally divided four teams. They did the same thing (with some similar publicity hoopla) last season where they started with 4 tribes divided by sex and age (older men, younger women, etc.) It also lasted about as long as Hohan’s sobriety.
