Since pretty much everyone in the city puts the blame of this year’s blackout in Queens and Brooklyn squarely on ConEd, ConEd has decided to take a different approach. They released a report about the summer power outage praising themselves for the way they handled the situation.
The report by Consolidated Edison said its officials stopped the blackout from spreading to 90,000 additional customers in the affected areas of Queens. It also detailed how the utility was quick to respond by deploying all available personnel on an around-the-clock basis to restore power.
It’s sort of like walking up and knocking someone to the ground, then praising yourself for helping them up.
