Just three days after human remains were discovered at Ground Zero while ConEd workers were excavating a manhole, even more discoveries took place yesterday.
Eighteen new pieces of human remains were found adding to the more than 100 pieces of bones and bone fragments that have been discovered since recovery efforts were officially called off. The discoveries are being made as workers dig up a service road along what is an apparently overlooked part of the initial excavation years ago. The workers are less than halfway through their excavation for the road.
